About the ATC Radar Simulator

A free, browser-based air traffic control radar game.

ATC Radar Simulator is a free web game that puts you in the seat of an approach (APP) radar controller. You work real arriving and departing traffic around a terminal area — turning aircraft with radar headings, climbing and descending them, controlling speed, sequencing them onto the ILS and keeping every flight safely separated — all on a realistic radar scope, right in your browser, with no download or sign-up.

Built on real data

Every airport in the simulator is modelled from real, publicly available aeronautical data: runway thresholds, ILS approaches, radio navaids and instrument procedures (SIDs and STARs). The goal is to feel authentic — the airports, runways and fixes are the real ones — while remaining an approachable game that anyone can pick up and play.

Who it's for

It's for aviation enthusiasts, flight-sim pilots, aspiring controllers and anyone curious about how the traffic around an airport is actually managed. It is designed for learning and practice as much as for fun. If you're new, the guide to approach radar control and the ATC glossary explain everything you need.

An independent project

The simulator is an independent, self-funded project, kept free to play and supported by unobtrusive advertising. New airports and features are added over time. Feedback, bug reports and airport requests are always welcome — see the contact page.

Important

ATC Radar Simulator is a game and an educational aid. It is not real air traffic control software and must not be used for real-world navigation, flight planning or operational training. Procedures and data are simplified and approximate. See the Terms of Use.
